1st graders listened to a story about a cute little Chameleon by Leo Lionni.
This lesson was originally from Deep Space Sparkle.
First we drew our own chameleons with black crayon. It’s easy once you help students break the lizard down into basic shapes (triangle head, oval body).

I recently ventured into different watercolor shades. You usually get basic rainbow colors plus black and brown.
This year, I purchased and added NEW colors! Yay! The kids are as excited as I am!
Left to right is Magenta, Orange, yellow, Yellow-Green, Turquoise, Blue-Violet, Red-Violet, and White. Off we went painting…
