Students in Ceramics class have been working on enclosed pinch pot vessels.
It is our first project of the quarter and they are turning out great so far!
We began by drawing a design in our sketchbooks and making 2 pinch pots. The pinch pots were joined together by slipping and scoring the clay. The clay was then formed and smoothed. Once it was leather hard, students cut a lid and smoothed the inside. Now they will sit to dry over the weekend.
We have everything from a racing helmet to a pineapple. I will update with pictures as they finish.
